Our face-to-face services currently covers Twickenham, Richmond, Teddington, Hampton, Isleworth, Walton, Kingston-on-Thames, Sunbury-on-Thames, Putney and surrounding areas. We also cover Bristol areas.

Face-to-face and online tutoring
Our tutoring service provides personalised educational support for Early Years, KS1, KS2, KS3, exam preparation, and entry exams (e.g., 7+, 11+). We begin with a comprehensive initial assessment to identify your child's strengths, gaps, and learning style. Based on this assessment, we develop a customised learning programme designed to address specific challenges and enhance their academic performance and self-esteem. Our experienced tutors offer ongoing support, helping your child build confidence and master difficult concepts. You can book booster block packages as well as weekly sessions.

Finella, DIRECTOR
As the founder and director of Your Home Education, I bring a wealth of experience and a deep passion for creating inclusive, personalised learning experiences. With a strong background in Primary Education, I specialise in both mainstream and SEN/SEND teaching, ensuring that every child’s unique needs are met with care and dedication. My work is driven by the belief that every child deserves a tailored approach to learning, particularly those with additional learning needs, who often face barriers in traditional educational settings.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience across all years of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, as well as tutoring students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3. This includes preparing pupils for entrance exams and helping them develop a solid foundation for their academic future. My approach combines practical teaching strategies with a compassionate, student-centred focus, enabling learners to thrive and reach their full potential.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have worked alongside a variety of professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Educational Psychologists. These collaborations have enriched my understanding of how to tailor learning experiences that address the diverse needs of my students, ensuring a holistic and well-rounded educational experience.

Rebecca
A Psychology and Sociology educator with a proven track record of successfully leading a department and guiding students to achieve their academic goals. Taking a student-centered approach that emphasises collaboration, ensuring that each learner is actively engaged in their own development. Through a combination of personalised feedback, tailored resources, and strategic exam practice, I’m committed to supporting you in reaching your full potential and excelling in your studies. SEN/SEND experience.

Alina
As a Primary School Teacher and hold a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience, alongside strong academic achievements in A-levels (Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Geography) and GCSEs (including English, Maths, and Science).
I have extensive experience teaching children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and global developmental delay. I have worked in 1:1 settings, small groups, and whole-class environments, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each child.
My background in neuroscience enhances my understanding of how children learn, and I am passionate about creating engaging, inclusive learning opportunities that help every child reach their full potential.

Georgia
An experienced primary teacher and tutor specialising in Maths, reading and writing. She spent two years as a Teaching Assistant at a private school in Notting Hill before completing her PGCE at St Mary’s University with an Outstanding grade. She then taught KS1 at St John’s Walham Green for four years.
Georgia has also tutored children aged 6–11 for the past five years, both online and in person. Her approach is warm, engaging and personalised, helping children build confidence, strengthen core skills and achieve their academic potential, including 11+ preparation.

Lucie
As an experienced educator with seven years’ experience supporting pupils across Key Stages 1–4, with a particular specialism in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Lucie currently leads a Specialist Resourced Provision within a mainstream secondary academy, supporting pupils with autism and language and communication needs. Her experience across both primary and secondary education has given her a strong understanding of the academic, social and emotional challenges children can face throughout their education.
She is calm, patient and approachable educator who believes that positive relationships and genuine understanding are at the heart of successful learning. Lucie tailors her approach to each pupil, combining structure, encouragement and appropriate challenge to help them build both confidence and independence.
Whether your child needs to close gaps in learning, develop specific skills, prepare for exams or simply become more confident in their abilities, Lucie provides personalised, supportive tuition designed around their individual needs and goals.

Ruby
As a fully qualified teacher with over 6 years experience across Key Stages 2–5. Educated at the University of Cambridge and trained at the University of Oxford, she has worked closely with families to support pupils preparing for the 11+ in addition to other educational needs. Adopting and ethos to help students build strong reading comprehension, clear written expression, verbal reasoning and mathematical confidence, with a calm, structured approach that focuses on understanding rather than rote learning. Her lessons are encouraging, carefully tailored, and place emphasis on exam technique, time management and reducing anxiety, helping children develop not only 11+ readiness but also confidence, resilience and independence as learners.

Maddie
As a dedicated educator and linguist with a degree in French and Portuguese from the University of Oxford and a Master's in Education from Bath Spa University. With experience as a secondary classroom teacher, I have also provided tutoring for both primary and secondary students. My teaching approach emphasises pupil engagement through spoken language, drawing on the ‘Talk4Writing’ methodology to enhance learning and comprehension.
Availability: Week days and weekends.
Meg
As a dedicated and creative English and Drama teacher who has been teaching in secondary schools since 2020. With a strong passion for both literature and the performing arts, she loves to bring lessons to life by incorporating drama techniques that spark curiosity, build confidence, and make learning engaging for her students.
Alongside her classroom teaching, Meg has valuable experience supporting young people with additional needs. She has worked as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for a Year 7 student with an EHCP for Autism and has also provided mentoring for individual students and nurture groups. This has given her a strong understanding of how to adapt lessons and create an inclusive learning environment that helps every student thrive.

Kingsley
I am an experienced science and physics teacher holds a PGCE Secondary (Physics) with QTS from Liverpool Hope University and has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Physics. With over a decade of teaching experience in international schools, I have successfully delivered engaging and well-structured lessons across multiple curricula.
Beyond physics, I also teach English, mathematics, and general science, tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student, including those with SEND. My teaching approach focuses on making complex concepts accessible, building students' confidence, and using assessment for learning (AFL) strategies to ensure continuous progress.
Availability: Week day evenings and weekends.
Group tutoring
Our group tutoring service, available in both face-to-face and online formats, allows children to learn collaboratively while receiving personalised educational support. We conduct initial assessments to identify each child’s strengths and learning styles, creating a customised learning programme that fosters academic performance and self-esteem. Group tutoring encourages peer motivation and provides opportunities for social skills development, making learning both effective and enjoyable. Our Home Education Service delivers personalised educational support tailored to your child's unique learning needs. Dedicated educators come directly to your home, offering a flexible and customised learning experience that align with your child's academic goals and personal interests.
SEN/SEND alternative provision
Our SEN/SEND Alternative Provision offers specialised tutoring and home schooling services designed for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We provide a supportive educational environment that caters to each child’s individual learning style, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
In addition to our tutoring services, we offer dedicated SEN workshops for children and consultations for parents, teachers, and schools. These initiatives help create effective learning environments and empower all stakeholders in the educational process.

HOME TUTORING
